Compliance with Regulations
Compliance with the regulations of the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act, theMSHA Logo Occupational Safety and Health Act, and the Motor Carrier Safety Improvement Act are our minimal requirements.  In order to ensure that no workers are injured, the aim of our safety program has to be much higher.  We educate and train all our employees as safety guardians.  Many of our job locations are constantly changing-and so are the hazards.  Our employees know that in addition to their own safety, they must also be alert and take action to ensure the safety of all employees and visitors at our locations. Just like a family, we look out for each other. It's the only way and the right way.

Innovative Safety Programs
Mining and the manufacturing and transportation of mining equipment is a tough and dangerous business. We have been blessed with hardworking and caring employees who have created many innovative safety programs and improvements. The Mellott family has been in the business for a long time and many of our competitors are also our friends. As our friends, we care about their safety and the safety of their employees and loved ones. Therefore, in the spirit of helping each other, we have posted many of our training programs, policies, and safety improvements on this website.

Safety is important to everyone and maybe our help is just enough to avoid an injury or fatality that we may never know about. And that's okay with us, because it's the right thing to do and we are proud of it.
